Dave recently finished and delivered the score for the latest episode of silent film ‘The Adventures of Trent Lockwood”, entitled “Trent Lockwood and the Blood of a Goddess“. The series is written and produced by James Marlowe, who also stars as the hero, yet sometimes confused, Trent Lockwood.
“It’s a wonderful and fun challenge to score 12 minutes of Music for a silent film. It may not seem like very much, but after the composition, syncing, tracking, mixing, and mastering, the time adds up.”, says Dave. “Also, with no dialog, there’s quite of bit of pressure to create even more of an emotional palette for the film.”
In this episode, adventurer Trent Lockwood finds–and immediately loses–an ancient Greek artifact, his makeshift holiday is interrupted by an old acquaintance and the shared desire to keep a deadly object out of the hands of the nefarious Cult of Melaam.
The Daisy Stomping Productions short is currently in final post-production and will be featured in various independent film festivals later this year.
